The SAS (Sociedad por Acciones Simplificada, or Simplified Stock Company) is the fastest way to own a business in Argentina. We handle everything: from the articles of incorporation and registration to day-to-day taxes and payroll.
Created by the Entrepreneurial Capital Support Law (Law 27,349) and relaunched by the corporate registry (IGJ) in 2024. Since September 2026, incorporation is even simpler.
It can have a single shareholder. Shareholders can be individuals or companies, Argentine or foreign.
There are no limits on foreign ownership. Foreign individuals participate with a tax ID for non-residents (CDI); foreign companies register with the IGJ.
Filed remotely through the government TAD platform. The company tax ID (CUIT) is issued with the registration. The articles are signed with a digital signature or in person at the IGJ.
Minimum capital equals two national minimum wages.
The purpose may be "any lawful activity": start with one line of business and add others without amending the articles. An SAS can also register as an importer and exporter with Customs.
No paper books: corporate and accounting records are kept digitally, with the same legal validity.
Documents depend on who participates. We tell you exactly what to prepare before starting, so the process is not delayed.
We learn about your business and define the structure: shareholders, capital, directors and jurisdiction.
We check name availability and draft the articles (IGJ model or custom).
We obtain the CDIs and guide you through signing, apostilles and translations of foreign documents.
We file through TAD. Registration issues the CUIT and enables the digital books.
We register the company for VAT, income tax and gross revenue tax, and help you open the bank account.
Invoicing, taxes, payroll, bookkeeping and annual financial statements, all with the same team.
Yes. A person living abroad can be a shareholder with a CDI (tax identification code) before ARCA, without residing in the country. What the law requires is that at least one director has their actual residence in Argentina.
Yes. An SAS can have a single shareholder, which can be a foreign company. The foreign company must first register with the IGJ (art. 123 of the General Companies Law), and this can be filed together with the incorporation.
The minimum equals two national minimum wages. We confirm the current amount when we incorporate the company.
Registration itself usually takes one to two weeks, depending on IGJ processing times. With foreign shareholders, gathering apostilled documents and CDIs can add a few weeks before filing.
It is taxed like any company: income tax on a 25%–35% scale depending on profit, VAT (21% standard), provincial gross revenue tax and, if it has employees, employer contributions. Dividends distributed to shareholders are subject to an additional withholding.
The articles are signed with a digital signature or in person at the IGJ. We review with you the most practical option for your case.
Tell us about your project and we will tell you which structure suits you and what documents to prepare. First consultation free.
